In December of 2014, a fire broke out in a blast room of a Tyson Foods cold storage facility in Fort Smith, AR affecting over 150,000 square feet. Due to the fire department ventilating the building, soot and smoke odor had affected the product inventory in all three freezer compartments, loading dock area, engine room, break room and office area. SRM was the only contractor that proposed a strategy that would restore the facility while maintaining temperatures below zero degrees, saving the client millions of dollars in both product and business operations.
